The course is a collaboration with Professor Judith Breuer (UCL), Dr Tamyo Mbisa (PHE) and Dr Emma Thomson (University of Glasgow).
Summary: This exciting new course will provide laboratory and bioinformatics training, along with lectures and discussions, in the application of next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies to clinical virology. The course is aimed at virology Clinical Scientists and Specialist Registrars who are planning to implement NGS in clinical diagnostic laboratories. Researchers (PhD, postdoc or more senior level) who have an interest in learning how to carry out NGS of viral genomes are also welcome to apply.
