Applications are invited for this post in the Virus Laboratory of the Department of Medical Microbiology at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary. This department is fully UKAS accredited and provides a comprehensive diagnostic Virology service to NHS Grampian, NHS Orkney and NHS Shetland. You will be a key team member both in the general work of the Virus Laboratory as well as for clinical liaison and validation, and you will contribute to all aspects of service delivery including teaching, audit and research. You will be working with Virology Consultants and will be expected to participate in the Virology clinical duty and out of hours rota. There is scope for developing the diagnostic service, especially the Molecular section, and specialist expertise in this area will be especially welcome. Aberdeen Royal Infirmary is a teaching hospital with extensive University links and facilities on-site and you will have the opportunity to contribute to Undergraduate and Postgraduate teaching.
